How to Install Canon Drivers on Windows 10


    1. Download the latest printer drivers from Canon.com

    2. Extract the drivers.

      1. Browse to the file you just downloaded in above.

      2. Run Generic_Plus_UFRII_vX.XX_Set-up_x64.exe.

      3. Select a location to extract the driver files:

    3. Browse to the extracted driver location and run Setup.exe.  Accept the license agreement by clicking Yes.

    4. You will see the Printer Setup dialogue.  Select Standard and ensure Reactivate Printers in Sleep Mode and Search is selected and click Next.

    5. You will continue to see the Printer Setup dialogue.  Check the checkbox for Canon Driver Information Assist Service and click Next.

    6. You will see a Windows Firewall warning.  Click Yes.

    7. You will see the Printer Selection screen.  Check the checkbox beside the printer with IP address 10.50.2.20 and click Next.

    8. You will see the Installation Summary.  Click Start to begin the installation process.

    9. You will see the Installation is Complete message.  Click Restart to restart your computer.


Configure your User PIN for printing.

    1. Open Control Panel and browse to Devices and Printers.

    2. Locate the iR C5240 printer, right-click it and select Printer Properties.

    3. You will see the Printer Properties.  On the Device Settings tab, do the following:

      1. Uncheck the Set User Information checkbox.

      2. Ensure the User Department ID Management checkbox is checked and click Settings.

      3. You will see the Department ID/PIN Settings.  Enter your Department ID and click OK.
